Everything you need to know about the foam business in London.
Over the years, London has seen many changes, with new developments, arts projects, and green spaces reshaping the city. What hasn’t changed is our passion for the London Tiger‑Cats and our knowledge of where to get a quality piece of foam. For that classic, old‑school comfort, Foam London is the go‑to place to refresh your sofa cushions or give new life to an older spring mattress.
Foam Rubber Sales began in 1954 with two locations: one on Yonge Street in Toronto and another in the city’s east end. In the shop window, they displayed a huge hand squeezing an oversized piece of foam. The slogan, hanging on the wall in a vintage picture frame, read “Foam Sweet Home!”
The original owner, Bill Collins, always believed that true comfort at home came from having a good piece of foam to sit or sleep on. In 1990, FOAMITE in Vaughan became the supplier for all of Foam Rubber Sales’ foam and mattress requirements. When the founder passed away in 2002, FOAMITE acquired the company and continued to serve London with foam and custom foam mattresses that you wouldn’t find in mainstream mattress retailers.
In 2020, our store had to shut down due to the COVID‑19 pandemic and a significant drop in foot traffic. Now, after a short pause, we’re excited to bring back the tradition that began with Foam Rubber Sales and was carried forward by FOAMITE.
At FoamLondon.com, we remove the middleman and the overhead of a physical showroom, so you can order custom foam products and mattresses at exceptional prices. Whether you’re returning from a stroll through the Royal Botanical Gardens, a trip to the Art Gallery of London, or a fun evening cheering on the London Bulldogs at your local pub, our mission is to provide your home with the best foam comfort possible.
